BMI a anunțat că anul acesta, premiul organizației President’s Award va merge către artista pop Pink.
Vicepreședinta oraganizației, Barbara Cane a spus: “Pink is an extraordinary songwriter whose mastery of craft and passionate artistry has transformed a generation of Pop and Rock music culture around the world. She has captivated music lovers with her unforgettable, emotional and edgy magnificence of song, voice and performance.”
Premiul este acordat pentru “outstanding achievement in songwriting and global impact on pop culture and the entertainment industry”, iar până în prezent acesta a mai fost câștigat de Adam Levine, Taylor Swift, Willie Nelson, Pitbull, Emilio, Gloria Estefan și Juanes.
